The majority of Aldershot's residential streets are made up of Victorian and Edwardian terraced and semi-detached houses, many built in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. These properties are well built and respond well to careful renovation and extension, but they also present challenges: solid external walls, original single-glazed sash windows, shallow roof pitches, and small rear yards in the town centre terraces.
In the outer areas of the town, including Manor Park and Buckland, there are more 1950s and 1960s semis and detached homes with larger plots, which are better suited to rear extensions and hip-to-gable loft conversions. We work across both types and can advise on the most practical approach for each property.
