Liphook is a large Hampshire village on the Surrey border, falling within East Hampshire District Council's administrative area. The village has a mix of housing types, from Victorian and Edwardian properties around the old village centre to large postwar and more recent detached homes on the surrounding rural lanes and within the settlement boundary.
Parts of Liphook fall within or immediately adjacent to the South Downs National Park, and the village's rural fringes are subject to the National Park Authority's planning policies. Extensions and alterations to properties within the National Park boundary are subject to more scrutiny than those in East Hampshire District Council's area, and Permitted Development rights may be restricted.
We carry out extensions, loft conversions and renovation projects throughout Liphook, and we are well versed in the distinction between properties that fall within the National Park and those that do not. Where a planning application is required, we can assist in developing a design that is sympathetic to the landscape and likely to be supported.
